The DevOps Leadership Forum – DataOps<\/h3>\n

Date: <\/b>June 2019<\/p>\n

This was the first in our new series of events, DevOps Leadership Forum.<\/p>\n

Data has become an asset on which many companies build their value, and the conversation has shifted from building data-gathering systems to the management of the data itself. The importance of data, the move to microservice architectures where the data is typically decentralised, new regulations driving different handling of personal and sensitive information, and the introduction of AI imposing traceability of training data has created a new Data Operations movement.<\/p>\n

La Fosse held a session where industry experts came to exchange ideas, present their own challenges and hear the lessons learnt from others facing a similar journey. The event, hosted at The NED, showcased the example of Babylon Health.<\/p>\n

This event was facilitated by Jean-Marie Ferdegue<\/a>,\u00a0Director of Platform Engineering at Babylon Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The DevOps Leadership Forum – Is DevOps Destroying the Architect?<\/h3>\n

Date:<\/b> July 2019<\/p>\n

What does the Architect of the future look like?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s often suggested that Engineering and DevOps teams are becoming less reliant on Architecture. Is this true and why is this the case?<\/p>\n

This event brought together senior leaders in the Architecture space to discuss the effects that DevOps as a methodology and culture is having on more traditional Architecture functions across the industry, and how better to integrate the two.<\/p>\n

The DevOps Leadership Forum – DevOps Maturity and Measurement<\/h3>\n

Date: <\/b>October 2019<\/p>\n

According to SourceLabs, only 12% of companies last year were not adopting DevOps, with a further 36% at the beginning of the journey.<\/p>\n

But how do you know where you are on that journey? Is your company just employing a few smart people performing heroics, or are you properly using the cloud and DevOps to support hypothesis-driven development?<\/p>\n

With increasing pressures on engineering teams to perform, you need to know that you are not over or under engineering DevOps, and that you have the tools and knowledge to measure the success of your DevOps practices.<\/p>\n

Through this event La Fosse created a space for industry experts to exchange ideas, discuss their own challenges and hear the lessons learnt by others facing a similar journey.<\/p>\n
