Title: Transition Project Manager / Workstream Lead (Public Sector)

Location: Hybrid (UK-based)

Contract: 9 months (initial)

We’re working with a major UK Government programme within the Department for Education, supporting a large-scale outsourcing transition – and we’re looking for two experienced Transition Project Managers / Workstream Leads to play key roles in delivery.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-impact programme at the heart of public service transformation.

The Roles

We are hiring for two positions:

• Operations Workstream Lead
• People Workstream Lead

Both roles will focus on delivering critical elements of a complex transition, ensuring services are mobilised effectively and risks are managed throughout.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading a key workstream within a major transition programme
• Managing plans, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement
• Driving delivery across mobilisation, transition, and stabilisation phases
• Working closely with suppliers, government stakeholders, and internal teams
• Ensuring risks, issues, and governance are effectively managed

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience delivering transition or outsourcing programmes
• Background as a Senior Project Manager or Programme Manager
• Experience in government or public sector environments
• Expertise in either:
  • Operational service transition, OR
  • People / HR / TUPE / change
